I don't think any newspapers that stopped publishing have continued online. I would think the Trib could have drawn enough eyeballs online to make it profitable.

It's interesting that the Tribune's website says it will stay up through March, but that Scripps hasn't figured out what it will do for content. Are there any newspapers that shut down but continued online only?

My 13-year-old daughter loves Sephora. Whenever we visit a city that has one, she goes there and buys lip gloss. I guess we'll have to put Knoxville on our itinerary. But there's no way I'm going to Dollywood.

Doesn't it seem that famous people die in clusters? Not that there's any relation between Carl Karcher and Ledger or Renfro, but the owner of the Carl's Junior and Hardee's chains died last week. He was buried in Orange County, California, so it's unlikely there was a misty rain, although smoke from greasy grills may have been present. And Karcher did have an interesting skeleton in his closet: membership in the John Birch Society.

i think that plant is getting hair plugs from abigail washburn, the banjo player for the all-girl, appalachian band "uncle earl". i saw them in concert last night and there is no denying the connection. if you are interested in some pretty weird, old-time music sung in mandarin chinese, check them out on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCFJ3LURCtc. and yes... that is john paul jones playing the piano (need i say more?!).
